Restorative Justice in the High Country
Check in here from time to time to see what MRJC and other community partners are up to, and see how restorative justice is working in Western North Carolina
Restorative Practices Kit
Restorative Practices have deep roots in indigenous cultures and focus on relationships and community connection. Restorative Justice applies this practice to our justice system, asking questions like “What was the harm done?” rather than “What law was broken?” and “What can be done to repair the harm?” rather than “What punishment is deserved?” Restorative Justice is the core of our work at MRJC - but restorative practices and principles can be applied in any arena, not just the justice system!
Staff Spotlight
Sianna Gutschick
This is Sianna, she is very cool. Here I would write about her and how she enjoys her work within restorative justice, and maybe have her discuss her favorite aspect of the position or say something positive about the principles of her job
